Easy Vegetable Batter

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 quart canola oil
Recipe
- 1 sift ingredients together.
- 2 add egg and water.
- 3 beat until smooth.
- 4 pour oil into a deep skillet and heat to medium heat.
- 5 dip vegetables a few at a time into the batter.
- 6 drop into heated oil and fry 2 to 3 minutes, turn one time.
- 7 cook until brown.
- 8 drain on paper towels.
