Lamb Chops Debreczyn's Style (hungarian Lamb Chops)

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 boneless lamb chops
- 1 tablespoon shortening (can be replaced by canola oil)
- 2 -3 beef hot links (or similar)
- 2 onions (chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (diced, skin removed)
- 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1 pinch hot paprika (optional)
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 place large skillet over high heat.
- 2 add shortening.
- 3 sauté the onions.
- 4 season lamb chops with salt and pepper.
- 5 add lamb chops in to the skillet and brown on both sides.
- 6 add sausage.
- 7 remove skillet from heat, while stirring add sweet paprika.
- 8 return skillet to heat, add tomatoes, green bell pepper, water, carraway seeds and hot paprika (optional).
- 9 season with salt and pepper.
- 10 reduce heat to low.
- 11 simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.
- 12 serve with bread, baguette, penne pasta or rice.
