Oxtail Stew Jamican Style

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs oxtails, cut into pieces
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons thyme
  • 1 medium hot pepper
  • 1 (20 ounce) can peeled tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 medium green peppers, diced
  • 2 cups boiled plantains

Recipe

  • 1 season oxtail with salt and pepper.
  • 2 heat oil and add oxtails, brown slightly.
  • 3 add onions and green peppers.
  • 4 add tomatoes, hot pepper thyme and water
  • 5 bring to a boil.
  • 6 lower heat and cook 1 hour.
  • 7 if needs it add more water.
  • 8 serve oer boiled plaintains.
