The Best Chocolate Snack Cake

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water or 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3-1/2 cup mini chocolate chip
- 1/3 cup walnuts or 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
Recipe
- 1 set oven to 350 degrees f.
- 2 set oven to second-lowest rack.
- 3 grease an 8 x 8-inch square baking pan.
- 4 in a bowl mix together the first 6 dry ingredients.
- 5 in another bowl whisk the water or milk with oil, egg, vinegar and vanilla; add to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- 6 transfer/spread into prepared baking pan.
- 7 sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts over batter, swirl with a knife to mix into batter.
- 8 bake 30-35 minutes or until cake tests done.
