Lori's Pao Chicken

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons water
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 4 small dried chilies
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • 1/2 cup peanuts (chopped, toasted)

Recipe

  • 1 combine the chicken, soy sauce, cornstarch, water, garlic and chilies. let stand 30 minutes.
  • 2 combine the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, salt, sesame oil and ginger.
  • 3 heat oil in a wok.
  • 4 add chicken mix. stir-fry 3 minutes.
  • 5 remove with a slotted spoon.
  • 6 to wok add sauce mix. cook 1 minute.
  • 7 return chicken. heat through. add peanuts.
