Crispy Shrimp

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs cleaned large raw shrimp (about 40)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cuop all-puroose flour
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tsap. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup crisco canola oil

Recipe

  • 1 pat shrimp dry. place next 6 ingredients in a shallow dish, mix well. just before cooking, coat shrimp in corn starch mixture. shake off any excess. heat oil in a large skillet. add shrimp and cook about 2 minutes per side or until just cooked through. this will have to be done in batches. drain shrimp on paper towels. serve immediately.
  • 2 serve with wedges of lime.
