Low Calorie Cheese Fries

Ingredients

- 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and french fry cut
- 1 tablespoon smart balance light butter spread
- 1/2 cup nonfat milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup kraft 2% milk shredded cheddar cheese
- canola oil cooking spray
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425°f.
- 2 rinse potatoes under cold, running water (a colander works well for this); pat dry.
- 3 spray 9x13 baking dish with canola cooking spray.
- 4 arrange potatoes in a single layer in baking dish - make sure they don't touch!
- 5 pour milk over potatoes.
- 6 drop small pats of smart balance light butter spread evenly over potatoes.
- 7 sprinkle with salt (and pepper, if desired!).
- 8 cover baking dish with foil
- 9 bake for 25 minutes.
- 10 remove from oven and sprinkle cheese evenly over potatoes.
- 11 replace foil and return to oven for 5 more minutes.
