Swordfish With Kiwi Salsa

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 kiwi fruit, peeled and diced
  • 1 small yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 small red onion, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest, grated
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 4 swordfish steaks

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, toss together kiwi, bell pepper, onion, jalapeno, lime zest and juice, salt and cilantro. set aside.
  • 2 in a small bowl, mix together cumin and black pepper. set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heating element and preheat the broiler.
  • 3 brush oil on both sides of swordfish steaks and sprinkle each side with the cumin mixture. place fish on a rimmed baking sheet and broil for 5 minutes. turn and broil until opaque in the center, another 4 to 5 minutes.
  • 4 place swordfish steaks on 4 plates and top each with kiwi salsa.
