Honey Mustard Chicken

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Recipe

  • 1 dry the chicken breasts with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
  • 2 heat the oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 3 brown the chicken in the skillet, 4-5 mnutes per side. remove from the pan and set aside.
  • 4 whisk together the honey, mustard, flour and broth.
  • 5 add to the skillet and bring to a boil.
  • 6 once the sauce thickens, return the chicken to the pan and cover it.
  • 7 simmer the chicken in the sauce over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
