Tammy's Perfect Cornbread

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup soft margarine
  • 3 teaspoons canola oil

Recipe

  • 1 sift flour and sugar together to remove lumps.
  • 2 add baking powder and salt.
  • 3 stir in corn meal.
  • 4 add eggs, milk and butter.
  • 5 mix until smooth.
  • 6 grease or use cooking spray in bottom of pan before adding mixture.
  • 7 bake in a 9x9x2 pan @ 425 until golden brown for approx 20-25 minuets.
  • 8 serve either hot or let cool to room temperature.
