Maple-almond Granola (cooking Light)

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1 cup raisins

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
  • 3 combine water, honey, syrup, sugar and oil in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. (careful this will boil quickly!).
  • 4 pour over oat mixture; toss to coat. spread oat mixtrue on a jelly roll pan coated with cooking spray.
  • 5 bake at 325 for 35 minutes or until golden, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • 6 stir in cherries and raisins. allow to cool on the pan.
  • 7 store in an airtight container for up to a week.
