Shahana's Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 3 brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
- 1 teaspoon butter (second amount)
- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Recipe
- 1 heat a frying pan over medium heat until hot, about 3 minutes.
- 2 heat oil and garlic until fragrant, 30 seconds.
- 3 reduce heat to medium-low.
- 4 add 1 tsp butter and the brussels sprouts, cut-side down.
- 5 cover and cook until golden brown on bottom 4 - 6 minutes.
- 6 flip sprouts and add 2nd tsp of butter.
- 7 cover and cook until other side is browned about 3 more minutes.
- 8 transfer to a serving plate.
- 9 sprinkle with parmesan cheese and pepper.
