Shahana's Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 3 brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • 1 teaspoon butter (second amount)
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat a frying pan over medium heat until hot, about 3 minutes.
  • 2 heat oil and garlic until fragrant, 30 seconds.
  • 3 reduce heat to medium-low.
  • 4 add 1 tsp butter and the brussels sprouts, cut-side down.
  • 5 cover and cook until golden brown on bottom 4 - 6 minutes.
  • 6 flip sprouts and add 2nd tsp of butter.
  • 7 cover and cook until other side is browned about 3 more minutes.
  • 8 transfer to a serving plate.
  • 9 sprinkle with parmesan cheese and pepper.
