Smoked Sausage And Three-bean Stew

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (14 ounce) package smoked sausage
  • 1 (14 ounce) can black beans
  • 1 (14 ounce) can pinto beans
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beans
  • 1 (14 ounce) can corn
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can of peeled diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Recipe

  • 1 cut sausage down the middle lengthwise.
  • 2 then cut across in about one-half to one inch sections.
  • 3 heat oil in pan, add sausage and brown.
  • 4 open all the cans. (do not drain off liquid from cans.).
  • 5 add entire contents of all the cans.
  • 6 salt and pepper to taste.
  • 7 lightly simmer until heated through.
  • 8 this is great reheated and can be frozen. recipe can easily be doubled or tripled. good with crunchy cornbread. this is a one-pan recipe. easy clean-up!
