Golden Fried Oysters

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup peanut oil or 1 cup canola oil
- 24 shucked oysters, drained
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, cornmeal, chili powder, salt and pepper. set aside.
- 2 heat oil in cast iron skillet until it reaches 350º or flour bubbles immediately upon being sprinkled in it.
- 3 dredge oysters in flour mixture, shake off excess flour and fry in oil until golden brown, about 2 minutes. transfer to paper towels.
