Sausage Wontons

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 package little smokies sausage
  • 1 package wonton wrapper
  • 1/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese
  • canola oil or vegetable oil
  • hot sauce (for dipping)

Recipe

  • 1 slice small slivers of cheese.
  • 2 place wonton wrapper in front of you so it is diamond shaped.
  • 3 wet the two sides down from the top.
  • 4 set sausage and sliver of cheese in the middle of wonton.
  • 5 roll (or"diaper") bottom corner over sausage.
  • 6 fold both sides in and roll from bottom.
  • 7 seal and set aside.
  • 8 preheat oil in a small deep fryer.
  • 9 place wontons a few at a time in hot oil until wontons are a light golden brown.
  • 10 serve hot with sauce.
  • 11 recommended: bbq sauce (bbq sauce), hot or sweet honey mustard, horseradish and mayo sauce or good old tabasco.
