Japanese Ginger Lamb (shogayaki)

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb lamb, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Recipe

  • 1 combine soy sauce, ginger and mirin in a bowl.
  • 2 add lamb slices, marinate for 15 minutes.
  • 3 heat oil in skillet.
  • 4 remove lamb from bowl, reserve marinade.
  • 5 saute meat quickly at high heat.
  • 6 pour marinade into pan, give the lamb a quick stir.
  • 7 note: marinated meat burn easily, it's important to work quickly.
