Turkey Chili

Ingredients
- 3/4 lb ground turkey breast
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 4 celery ribs, chopped finely
- 2 button mushrooms, finely diced
- 1 bunch green onion, sliced finely
- 1 (19 ounce) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (14 ounce) can italian stewed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder
Recipe
- 1 brown ground turkey in frying pan with canola oil until nicely browned.
- 2 add sliced green onions, celery,mushrooms and spices.
- 3 cook until vegetables are tender and the spices have melded with the mixture.
- 4 add the tins of stewed tomatoes and kidney beans, bring mixture to a boil and cook for 5 to 10 minutes and then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes and adjust seasoning to your own taste.
