Portabella Pita

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 whole wheat pita bread, with pocket sliced in half
  • 1 portabella mushroom, coarsley chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 -2 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons gouda cheese or 2 tablespoons havarti cheese or 2 tablespoons monterey jack cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 cook onion and green pepper in oil until almost tender.
  • 2 add mushrooms and cook until soft.
  • 3 when vegetables are ready add cheese and heat until just melted.
  • 4 fill pita bread with mixture.
